Mac Users PC Users MAC Uploading files using an FTP program. Name your files to be uploaded with the same name as your JOB NAME. Should you have multiple files to upload please use one of the following compression utilities to create a self extracting archive; Stuff-it (for Macs) or WinZip. (for PCs) (These links will open in a new window. When you are done downloading, close the window to return here.) You will need to use an FTP (file transfer protocol) Program. If you don't already have an FTP program on your computer, you will need to download and install one. Often when you download a program it is saved to a default location (such as the last place a download was saved). Be sure that you save the program to a location (such as the desktop) where you can find it in order to do the installation. Once the program has been downloaded, you will need to double-click on it in order to install it. Be sure to install the program in a location (such as the desktop) where you can find it again. For MAC users, we recommend Vicomsoft FTP Client (this is a free download; the latest version is listed at the download site as FTP Client). (This link will open in a new window. When you are done downloading, close the window to return here.) Once you have the FTP program downloaded and installed, here is what you do. First name your files to be uploaded with the same name as your JOB NAME. We suggest that you use Stuff-it with everything you send even if it is only one file. This will prevent broken resource forks. Be certain to follow the instructions below Setting up FTPClient and Uploading Files  When you first open your FTP program you will see a New Connection window. 1. Fill in the Host: field as shown above (xpresspress.net). You will need to call us so that we can assign you a User ID and Password to use. Do not fill in the Directory field. Leave that blank and it will default to the main directory. 2. Click on connect and this will connect you to our site (assuming you have entered all of the correct information). You can then choose the FILE- Save As option from the File menu in order to save these settings for the future. (The next time you connect you can pick up these settings by choosing BOOKMARKS) 3. Set up window as Mac & Host view 4. You can Creat a new folder on the FTP Site by Selecting the folder under the Trash can on the Tool bar on the right side 5. To begin uploading a file, click on the File you want to transfer or browse your hard drive until you find the file you want. 6. Drag the file to right into the folder you want . When you are done downloading, close the window to return here.) Once you have the WS_FTP program downloaded and installed, here is what you do. First name your files to be uploaded with the same name as your JOB NAME. Setting up WS_FTP or WS_FTP32 and Uploading Files When you first open your WS_FTP program you will see a window.  For right now you can close this window. This is where you can set-up Pre-defined sites for easy access in the future for fright now we are going to jump to Quick Connect.  1. Got to the file menu and choose Quick Connect from the file menu.  2. Fill in the Host Name field as shown below (xpresspress.net). You will need to call us so that we can assign you a Password. Enter that information into the appropriate fields.  3. Click on the GO button and this will connect you to our site (assuming you have entered all of the correct information). When you are connected to our site you will see a window. This window is separated into two sides. The left side (Local System) is your Hard Drive and the right side (Remote System) is the FTP site directory on our server. The top section of each side shows the folder/directory you are in. The section right below that shows you a list of folders/directories within that folder/directory. The bottom section displays the files contained within that folder/directory.  4. To begin uploading your files, you will first need to browse the Local System until you are in the folder which contains the files you want to transfer to our Web site. 5. Once you find the files you want to upload, the rest is easy. First you need to make sure you select the Binary option. 6. Now you are just a few clicks away. To begin, left click on the file on the Local System that you wish to upload. When that file is highlighted, click on the arrow (in the middle of the window) that is pointing to the right side. Note: you will not see it on the Remote System side. You can upload multiple files at a time by holding down the CRTL key and clicking on the files you wish to upload.
